Some very good flavors, better than the usual flavors often found with these dishes. Great service. You can tell the owners are trying to put their heart and soul into their restaurant, and it shows.

This place was delicious! I have never had Indian food before, so I was excited about Jamestown getting a restaurant in the former Pennys/El Agravero location. While we looked over the menu we had a crispy bread and two sauces given to us. The green one had cilantro and was slightly spicy. The brown one was like a sweeter barbecue sauce. The samosas came out hot and crispy. They were delicious. The rice was very flavorful, but wow were the were the entrees good! My favorite was the chicken tikka masala. I had medium heat and it was perfect. I also ordered a garlic naan bread and it was great to put some extra sauce. Next time I plan to get the spicy chicken appetizer after hearing people around me ordering it and enjoying it. Service was also very friendly. I plan to be back soon! :)

I have probably eaten in dozens of Indian restaurants in my life, and this one may top them all. The Chicken 65 appetizer was tender and cooked and seasoned to absolute perfection, and gorgeously plated as well. The naan was also delicious, and came out so hot you could barely touch it. Our party's entrees were all cooked just right, seasoned perfectly, beautifully presented, and generously portioned. I think they were a little short-staffed tonight, but our servers were friendly and helpful. And the food was so, so good. SOMEBODY'S MAMA IS BACK THERE COOKING, Y'ALL. It has to be. Whoever is cooking in this restaurant is doing it with love. This place is off the beaten path a little, and other restaurants in this spot have gone under. Please don't let that happen to Namaste Lumbini. Go, eat, take a friend, spread the word.

Best Indian food in the Triad right here! Actually the best Indian food I've ever had! Place is owned and operated by 2 siblings who are so nice and attentive and you can tell they have a genuine passion for cooking great food. We placed a big order (as usual) and the sister/server didn't write any of it down yet remembered everything. Mind like a steel trap! Wasn't busy at all when we went, and we had a chance to chat a bit with the brother/cook who clearly loves the food he makes and is a whiz with flavor and spices. We requested mild on the spice since Lace doesn't like spicy, and they were very good about that. The ambience is a bit kitschy but the food absolutely blew me away and for a decent price too! We will be back and soon!

We ate here for the first time recently, this is a relatively new Indian spot and it's interior vibes more like a diner but don't be put off by the aesthetics. The food here is INCREDIBLE. We haven't had Indian food this good since our favorite place on Long Island and it was great to find one that compares. They even have some other regional specialty dishes like momos (dumplings) that you won't find in other places. Their prices are fair compared to other Indian restaurants in the area and the portions were great. We will definitely be back!

I spent a year in the UK and was surrounded by no small amount of AMAZING Indian restaurants. Coming back to the States, I knew it just wouldn't be as good or authentic. Then I discovered Namaste. This unassuming building sits as the tastiest turnstile in on Main St. in Jamestown. The food is next-level good--if you're someone who bases an Indian restaurant on its butter chicken or tikka masala, you can do that with *any* dish at Namaste. Each dish is specially prepared with authentic flavors and ingredients. This is well worth your time. This place is the samostest with the mostest.

Quaint and authentic Indian food just outside of downtown Jamestown. Service is quick and polite, and food is absolutely delicious. 10/10 would recommend, especially the Butter Chicken!

First time visiting Namaste Lumbini, and was very pleased. They have a wide range of Asian inspired food, it mostly focuses on Indian cuisine. The sign does say they also serve American foods, though I did not see any on the menu, maybe there is another menu. We were the only ones dining in when we arrived. The host, who also seems to be the entire wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Quick to get us water and offer answers to questions about items on the menu. The decor is pretty reminiscent of the previous occupant, which was a Mexican restaurant, and I assume the same as the tenant before them, but it's quiet and clean. As a starter, we orders Paneer Pakora, which seemed to be a cottage cheese stick, batter and deep fried, for the price it was a big portion, and they were crisp and tasty. For meals, we got butter chicken and chicken Tikka Masala, but came with jasmine rice and were fresh, flavorful and delicious. The butter chicken was ordered with mild heat, but the tikka masala was ordered medium, and just a warning the difference between the two was very noticeable, so If you don't like spicy, be sure to speak up and get mild. We also got an order of garlic naan, bud high was fresh, soft and melted in your mouth. Overall, we were both really pleased with our first experience here. It was something different, and the portions allotted us enough to both have a lunch for the next day. I'll be adding this one to the list to check out again!

(4.5 stars) The latest eatery to occupy the former Penny's and El Agavero location, Namaste Lumbini brings something different to the Jamestown area. Time will tell if it has staying power, but service and food quality are strong right out of the gate. My wife and I arrived before 6 p.m. on a Saturday to find Namaste Lumbini mostly empty, not a good sign. By the time we left, however, business had picked up considerably. The restaurant has the space to accommodate groups should anyone need a place for a get-together. While the building is old, the interior has been touched up nicely. Namaste Lumbini's menu is impressively deep. It boasts many familiar Indian dishes - tandooris and tikkas masalas and biryanis - but it also offers Indo-Chinese selections as well as momo (Nepalese dumplings). There are plenty of vegetarian options, and there are also thalis for the indecisive/those who want to try a little bit of everything. My wife and I opted to split a vegetable samosa, a chicken 65, and a vegetarian thali. Our food came out promptly, and it was preceded by a complementary papadam with tamarind and mint chutneys. I will offer a caveat in that if you want your food spicy, you will have to request it as such. Only the billed-as-spicy chicken 65 brought any heat, and it was about medium. That said, while spiciness may have been subdued, flavors were not. The chicken 65 was nice and tangy, and the thali's saag paneer, aloo gobi, and dal were tasty and comforting. Naan was included, and it performed sauce mop-up commendably. Namaste Lumbini's service is attentive and polite. We were greeted upon entry and checked on throughout the meal. Prices here are moderate with entrees in the teens. Given the food and service quality and the vast swaths of menu left to explore, we will almost certainly be back. If its execution remains consistent, Namaste Lumbini could easily become the go-to for Indian eats in the Jamestown/east High Point area.
